“We are all interconnected in a web of kindness from which it is impossible to separate ourself. Everything we have and everything we enjoy, including our very life, is due to the kindness of others. In fact, every happiness there is in the world arises as a result of others’ kindness.”
-- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, How to Transform Your Life

Our ability to realise and remember this fundamental truth will awaken a deep sense of closeness and appreciation that will transform our relationships with others and our world.

Over this morning retreat we will learn clear and practical meditations that unlock our precious mind of gratitude, dispel any lingering resentment and entitlement, and thereby allow us to journey deep into this essential state of being. This retreat is suitable for everyone, from those completely new to meditation to the most accomplished meditators.

Schedule:
9am-10:15 Session One
11am-11:45am Session Two

“Finally, the source of all happiness is faith.”

Faith is a word we often use to encourage, comfort, or console. But what exactly is faith?  Faith is what gives us hope for a better future. Faith is like pure eyes through which we can see beyond the mundane world.

What should we put our faith in?  Why do we need permanent liberation from suffering?  How does faith help us fulfill our deepest wish for happiness?  Through studying and contemplating Buddhist Faith, we can find answers to these questions and deepen our appreciation for Buddha’s great kindness to all living beings.

In this special evening workshop you will learn the purpose of faith and the meaning of Buddhist faith. Through contemplating and meditating on faith, you will enrich your spiritual practice and understand how faith can help fulfill our deepest wish for happiness.

Everyone is welcome!

This workshop will be followed by a special retreat "Offering of Our Faith Retreat" Thursday June 1st-Sunday, June 4th

Offering of Our Faith Retreat

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, but during this special weekend, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra.

There will be self-guided retreat sessions using the sadhana The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the special request prayer. The retreat will conclude with Offering to the Spiritual Guide for long life on Sunday evening.
