Fundraiser Hike
Sunday, June 14
Time: 8am
Place: Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park
3287 Lang Ranch Pkwy
Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Tushita KMC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization run by volunteers that has been serving the Conejo Valley area for over eighteen years. All proceeds from this event go directly toward our community outreach efforts to help those seeking inner peace.
There are many ways to participate in this meaningful event: join the hike, sponsor a hiker, or attend the lunch and chanted meditation!
After the hike, return to Tushita Kadampa Meditation Center at The Oaks Mall for a delicious lunch and chanted meditation. Everyone is welcome!
We will hike behind the Chumash Museum to benches where we will meditate. This is only a half mile and you can return to the park if you wish or continue into Lang Ranch Open Space for a 4 mile hike with some elevation gain and beautiful views.
Schedule:
8:00am: Meet for delicious coffee and snacks
8:30am: Hike begins
11:30am: Lunch and chanted meditation at Tushita KMC
Registration: $30 to participate in the hike
Everyone will stay together for the first mile and we will sit while Kadam Rebecca leads a guided meditation. There are benches with backs or you may choose to sit on the ground (you may want to bring a towel in a backpack for that option).
We will have a designated “sweeper” with each distance choice to make sure everyone returns to the park safely.
